Title: Dark Corners

Author: Liz Schulte

I loved this book. A page turner! I had to restrain myself from going to the end, so I could find out what happened. It is a book that has classic suspense theme and feel to it which I loved. A Hitchcock type thriller. I don't want to give too much away, so here is a briefing of the story.

The story is about Ella Reynolds. She is a suspense/horror writer who moves from Chicago to Montgomery a small town. She and her husband move into a house that is inherited by her husband. Ella never really feels comfortable in the house and is not sure why. She has her doubts and begins to hear and see odd things that her husband does not see or hear. Her husband, Danny offers to sell the house and move back to Chicago, but Ella doesn't want to disappoint her husband who loves the house and she tells him that they will stay.

She comes home one night to find Danny murdered. After being cleared as a suspect, she is on a mission to find her husband's killer. She spends a year basically trapped in the house. She continues to see and hear odd unexplained things. Ella doesn't have many people left in her life and she has a hard time letting people in her life. Now the few people in her life are all suspect. She and a detective who has chosen to help her are on a quest to find out the truth about Danny's murderer. Is it ghosts haunting her? Or is there a stalker? Along the way Ella pieces her past life together to find out the truth.

This book is worth checking out. As I said, I loved it. A well-developed story that keeps you guessing whodunit the whole time. The characters are all so believable and real. This is a perfect night read, especially during Halloween month.

I look forward to future reads by Liz Schulte. She is a talented story teller.
