New Team Member: Jennifer Bonges, Book Reviewer!

I am SO excited to announce a new addition to Matter of Cents!!! Up until now, I have been the sole writer posting everything you've read since January. Things, several opportunities and life in general, have recently caused me to fall a little (okay A LOT) behind in some of my responsibilities. I moved from one home to another, and the new place has the WORST internet and phone signal…ever! I had to enroll my boys in two different (new) schools, all three of my kids and I were ill, the list goes on when it comes to why I've "dropped the ball". I apologize profusely and promise to do better. But, enough about me…

Jennifer and I go WAAAYYY back…as in we know each other from college. She and I were in the same sorority and she was/is my "Little Sister". :D After graduation, we lost touch and of all things FACEBOOK reconnected us. I am so glad she not only found me, but has agreed to help me out by reviewing the books I receive for the blog.

I asked Jennifer to write a little bit about herself to share with you. On that note, the following is what she wrote:

"Hi! My name is Jennifer. I currently live in a NW suburb of Chicago. I'm married and live in a new found "cozy" apartment with our cats. I graduated from Elmhurst College with a Bachelor of Science in Education. As much as I love the students and learning process, I realized that I'm not cut out to teach. So, I spent a few years working as a bartender and I spent about 7 years in an office job. Unfortunately, that went from bad to worse when I was laid off this past March, even after two years of a severe pay cut. So, as I look for a job to hopefully pay the bills, I am also finding myself. Needless to say I have had an interesting couple of years.

I love to bake. I also enjoy reading and writing. I'm starting to focus even more on writing. It's something I always wanted to do. It's a slow process but I am working on it. I will be participating in National Novel Writing month challenge this November. I have no idea what to write. Just going to go with it. I also work on crafts. In particular, cross-stitch and scrapbooking.

I look forward to sharing with you on this awesome site. I am thrilled Adelina asked me to be part of this. We have been reconnected this year through our Elmhurst College days and Facebook!"   ~Jennifer
