More Changes, New Goals!

WOW! So much to say and I'm not exactly sure where to begin. I've made some very BIG, difficult, but exciting decisions in the last couple of weeks. While I am confident these are the right choices for me and my children, they definitely weren't easy and didn't happen overnight.

First of all, I have made a commitment to home school my children. I pulled my two oldest sons out of public school with the hopes of educating them in a way that is comfortable for them and allows them to learn at their own pace. I am really looking forward to the many opportunities to become even closer as a family and teach each other something new every day.

Second, I am going to publish my first book this year! One of the many reasons I started this blog was to gain some experience writing and determine exactly what I would like to share with the world. I have several topics in a couple of different genres I plan to focus on. I hope you will stick around and see what they are as I release each one. A launch date has not been set yet. But, I promise you will be one of the first to know when it is.

Third, I want you all to know how much I have truly appreciated your loyalty during the past year. I considered this blog one of my "babies" and still do! It is just time to move in a different direction. I am still planning on hosting the occasional giveaway and sharing as many ways as possible to help you live a more frugal lifestyle.

Fourth, while I still plan to honor my biggest goal for 2012: to post at least one thing each day, I am going to enlist some help. If there is a blogger willing and able to guest post, I will be sharing their work and blog with you. This will be in addition to the regular features already in place: Want to Know Wednesday, "Pin Me" Pinterest Hop, and Foto Friday as well as my weekly Nutrisystem updates.

***If you are a blogger and would like to guest post on Matter of Cents, please complete this Google Doc Form. Anything family-friendly, related to saving money: at the grocery store, at home, on entertainment, while traveling, etc; earning money: working from home; food/cooking, health/nutrition, etc; and spending as little money as possible on the things you love to do.
